Wester Ross Nature Reserve wins again!

The renowned Beinn Eighe Nature Reserve has once again been awarded a prestigious European Diploma by the council of Europe. This is the sixth time the reserve has won this!
The award is given in recognition of efforts made towards conserving and enhancing the natural environment, and sites are assessed every five years. The reserve is owned by Scottish Natural Heritage, and carries out valuable scientific research and nature conservationm work. Each year, more than 30,000 visitors visit the reserve which covers nearly 12,000 acres and has more than six miles of pathways from all abilities trails to the well established mountain and woodland trails. There is also a visitor centre which is open daily from just before Easter time until the end of October.
