‘SPARE TIME’ A photographic study

Spare Time' is an expression that is a reference to what we do between finishing work and going to bed; what we do in our spare time. It is the guiding metaphor for this series. Roderick Mackenzie says: ‘Photography is not my job, it is what I do in my spare time, but this series extends that metaphor to reference geological time. These photographs capture moments that are both timeless and unique.’
