Golf Courses in the north-west Scottish Highlands
Consider teeing off under the gaze of the Torridonian Mountains, or looking out to the Isle of Skye as you go round some of our deceptively challenging 9 hole courses on Lochcarron or Gairloch. From the course at Morefield you can watch the Stornoway ferry sailing into Ullapool.
Information on all three courses can be found via their websites:
Lochcarron (Tel: 01520 722744)
Ullapool (Tel: 01854 613323)
Gairloch (Tel: 01445 712407)
Gairloch Golf Glub is a challenging 9-hole links course with spectacular views to Skye and the Western Isles. Visitors are very welcome and golf clubs are available for hire from the shop, which is open from Easter to October. Visitors can take advantage of day or weekly rates (see website for current prices).
The clubhouse overlooks the 8th and 9th greens and the beach beyond. It has a café serving rolls, home-made soups and light lunches and is open to all, not just golfers. The café is open from 9am to 5pm every day from Easter to October (licensed bar is open from 11.00am) and there is free Wi-Fi access for customers. Ice creams and drinks are also available from the shop. The adjacent car park has plenty of capacity and the beach is just a short stroll away.
