Ach Da Thearnaidh (Gaelic for, 'the place between two descents') B&B is set in two acres of mixed woodland and tendered gardens, reached from a single track road just over five miles from Poolewe and the North Coast 500.

We are a friendly family-run B&B proud of our stunning views of Loch Ewe and surrounding mountain ranges. Our tranquil and tendered grounds provide guests with the opportunity to relax. Both rooms have free Wi-Fi, but whilst we have internet, due to our remote location Wi-Fi cannot be guaranteed.

Here is a taste of some of the things you can expect when you stay with us... Firemore Sands is a small secluded beach overlooking the sea loch, beautiful for an evening stroll. It can be reached by an easy 10-15 minute walk. From the accommodation, feel free to relax in our well-kept grounds. These feature conifers, a growing wild-flower meadow and garden pond, whilst enjoying views of the Isle of Ewe and Fisherfield mountains in addition to the sea views.

Booking Information

Continental and cooked options are available for breakfast. The surrounding Highlands and the lochside are ideal for hiking, rock climbing, cycling, fishing and marine-wildlife spotting. There are several beaches in the area and you can also visit archaeological sites. Gairloch Golf Course is nearby, a 9-hole course set amongst rolling dunes above a long sandy beach. Ullapool can be reached in less than 90 minutes by car. Inverness is 77 miles away.
